Yes, I am thinking of putting my beloved M3/4/5 for sale. Rather than ask "what's my car worth", I hope we can generate discussion which can benefit anyone thinking of selling or buying.

The recurring message I see on the forum is that a car's worth depends on how well it's been maintained. These cars are old enough that maintenance has risen as a key factor.

Let's assume an E36 M3 which is nicely maintained. What should be the baseline value? What moves the actual value from the baseline?

I'd think local market, transmission type, perhaps configuration (like 2 or 4 doors?), and maybe mods.

I think my car is desireable. Alpine / Modena M3/4/5 well kept with addition of an expensive and fun supercharger. I want to be fairly compensated if I do sell a car that I'm torn on selling.
